Im 13 year old and i really want a cell phone this year for christmas but i dont know how to ask my parents they told me i can have one when im 16 but thats so long from now and i really want one. I need idea’s on how to convince them. im switching to a cingular plan adding a line for an additional 10 dollars a month i will be paying my parents this.
2 QUESTIONS
1.) If i am adding a line therefore signing a 2 year contract will i be getting a free phone or at least a nice one for cheaper?

I have had my verizon moterola razor for exactly a year and a half on july 10th. My phone has been working fine untill today (july 15th). last night before i went to bed I turned it off so it wouldnt wake me upif someone called me. The next morning i tried to turn it on and nothing happened, the screen stayed black. then i went to go plug it into the charger and nothing happened. Usually when i plug it into the charger wheather its on or off, the screen says ”charging”. I am pretty sure the phon is dead but im still trying to get it to work.
~If it is dead and my contract isnt up, can i still get a new verizon phone for free like i could if my contract was up?
~~~~just asking because i think it is unfair that it is dead and my contract isnt up.

is there a cell phone that is prepaid with free texting…….or one that you only pay for the minutes you use (with free texting?) I would really like a free texting phone, but the one I have costs to much to text, and I can’t pay a annual monthly contract if its over 10$. any ideas?

I am thinking to get a family plan contract with verizon, and i was wondering best used cell phones

My parents just surprised me and said I can get a new cell phone. I have always thought the Chocolate 2 was kewl, but I only mentioned it once to my mom. She told me that I could get the Chocolate 2 because she is on a 2-year contract and there is the Chocolate 2 or a Motzerola. I wanted the Chocolate 2 right away, and best used cell phones

I have US Cellular because of the free incoming and the nights and weekends starting at 7pm. I got a moto q around 7months ago. I was told that i would have to keep a data package on my account or else the phone wouldn’t work. The first month I was ok with it because I would use the internet on the phone. But after I realized I pay almost the exact same price for this data package that I pay for my cable internet and it’s the difference of speed of dial up vs high speed, I don’t want the package! So I called my phone company and asked that they remove the data package because I don’t want it. I was told that I would have to place another phone on my account. Unless I pay the $150 contract break fee I can’t afford another phone.
Can’t they actually remove the package and the phone still work? Can’t they prorate their contract? They act like they can’t do anything.
With Us Cellular The plans don’t dictate your contract. The amount of discount you get off your phone tells if you have a 1 or 2 year contract. I only signed a 1 year.
GRRR i called them and did the whole talk to your supervisor thing. They said it’s a fcc rule that if you have a data phone it must be kept on a data package. AND that the phone will continue to ping the network even if the package is gone and it will pop up and fill my phone with errors. So now i guess I have to buy a new phone and their phone selection SUCKS! Can I get a phone from another carrier that uses CDMA like USCC and hook it up?

I got my cell phone at the beginning of september 2 years ago. As you can probably see…my contract is almost up and i want a new phone. My cousin says that you can upgrade to any phone for free…but some people in other questions say that the primary line or lines get 100$ off a new phone and the others get 50$. im not quite sure what pimary lines are either.
